SFIC 30 LifeStories - 'Remembering Parks' in which we specially designed creative furniture items made from damaged tree logs from parks

30 LifeStories - Remembering Parks is a project that brings together thirty homegrown designers and artists, who bravely and sportingly dug deep into their memory troves, relating to their time spent in our parks and gardens.

Inspired by these experiences, they then created creative installations out of logs salvaged around Singapore. These included trees damaged by weather or removed to make way for urban development.

By breathing second life to these pruned logs, the project highlights the topic of sustainability, whilst recounting the wood's origins. Sunray is proud to be one out of thirteen manufacturers who worked with designers in actual creations based on design. This project is organised by SFIC, and co-presented by the Sculpture Society (Singapore) and the National Parks Board.
